For the home appliance industry, we manufacture various custom components, including this cover panel for the control knobs of a range hood. The mold is highly polished in the visible black area to ensure a flawless surface. Functional symbols are then precisely applied, resulting in a durable and visually appealing user interface.

Fastening Element

Salt Funnel

Functional element for the secure and clean filling of the ion exchanger with regeneration salt. The funnel is temporarily inserted into the filling opening and prevents salt from spilling inside the appliance. The design and material selection are tailored for chemical resistance to detergents as well as easy handling by the end user. Optionally equipped with a snap or plug-in function for fixation during the filling process.

Parktronic

Assembly consisting of one 2K and four 1K plastic injection-molded parts. In the 2K overmolding process, precise individual windows are injected into the component for each LED light, serving as optical passages. The subsequent mounting of an optical lens over the display elements ensures a clear and glare-free visual output. The combination of multi-component injection molding and modular assembly allows for high functional integration alongside a sophisticated appearance.

Button

Four different buttons are produced together in a single injection molding process and then separated by type. The button set is characterized by precise shaping and high surface quality, ensuring reliable functionality and easy assembly in the control unit of the range hood.

Cable Holder

Compact holder for secure fastening of cable bundles on metal sheets in household appliances. The component design ensures reliable retention with easy assembly and reliably protects the cables from damage. Manufactured using a 32-cavity hot runner mold without sprue, the highly precise tooling concept enables cost-effective mass production with consistently high quality.
The molds were entirely developed and manufactured in-house by SEIDL. This proven SEIDL tooling concept is also successfully used by second-source suppliers and for other comparable products.

Adjustment Plate

Retention clip for reliable fixing of wiring components in vehicle assemblies. Manufactured using an 8-cavity tool and factory-colored for clear identification during assembly. The design ensures stable positioning with easy handling in the production process and contributes to process reliability.

Top and Bottom Cover

Highly precise plastic housing for accommodating and protecting electronic assemblies in vehicles. Manufactured using a 2-cavity tool with over 100 delicate pin-through holes for connectors and electrical interfaces. To ensure functional reliability, a 100% inline camera inspection is performed—checking each hole for dimensional accuracy as well as for visual contaminants and particle-free quality. The housing geometry is designed for high dimensional accuracy and process stability in series production.

Lighthousing

Carrier element for speed and rpm displays in the vehicle cockpit. The component requirements include high light tightness to ensure secure optical separation of individual light channels, as well as tight tolerances for precise integration of electronic components. Complex geometry with numerous angled locking and latching elements for stable fastening within the housing assembly

SMM Housing

Compact housing for accommodating electronic components, designed for use in range hoods. For secure mounting within the appliance, a functional adhesive tape is additionally applied. The component design takes into account thermal and mechanical requirements in kitchen applications and enables efficient integration into existing assemblies.

Manufacturing process: Injection molding + adhesive assembly

Left = Shaft | Right = Cam Disc

The gears together form the gearbox that controls the flow regulation in the water diverter. Through the gear ratio, depending on the wash program, the position of the cam disc is changed, thus precisely regulating the water volume. For cost optimization, both components were produced without sprues using 16-cavity hot runner molds. The highly precise molds were fully developed and manufactured in-house by SEIDL.
